Drop-In Center

The Youth Center serves young people ages 16—24 who are at risk of or are currently experiencing homelessness or housing instability. We provide a safe, affirming environment—and can even provide options for those interested in transitioning from homelessness to housing.

What to Expect at the Youth Center

Drop-In Hours & Basic Services

Every day of the week, we host drop-in hours for youth throughout Los Angeles. Here, you can hang out with the other youth in the program, or access the full range of services offered at the Center, including basic services like: showers, clothing, laundry, and three meals a day; access to CES (Coordinated Entry System); and housing navigation or temporary housing, depending on our capacity.

Health Services

Accessing the Youth Center also means that our case managers can help you navigate our robust health network. We can connect you with mental health support, linkages to primary care, substance misuse and prevention services, and more.

Social Services

If you choose, the Center can also assist with continuing your education (right at our Youth Academy or elsewhere), or help connect you to employment and vocational programs. Our team can even help you find employment, and provide you with access to our computer lab for resumé writing and job hunting. We also offer a slate of Youth Engagement Programming, which provides a space for you to connect with like-minded peers, explore your creativity, find a sense of self, and even engage in leadership and advocacy positions both within and outside of the Center.

Youth Engagement programming provides a fun space for you to connect with your peers, explore your creativity, find a sense of self, and engage in leadership and advocacy positions both within and outside the Center. A wide range of programs promote healthy and supportive relationships, encourage imaginative and innovative thinking, and provide tools essential to achieving personal goals and thriving within a community. Whether that's joining an art class, booking a session in our recording studio, or engaging in any number of other youth-led recreational activities, you'll find a chance to let your true self shine.
