Join multidisciplinary performing artist Paul Outlaw and filmmakers Rebekah and Demetrëa Dewald inside their creative process in preparation for an experimental documentary film. TENTH (working title) will explore the ever-shifting cultural fabric of New York City’s 10th Street, a storied two-mile thoroughfare in Lower Manhattan. The film will interweave histories from the people that have inhabited 10th Street—from the time before the arrival of 17th Century Europeans to the present day—with the personal history of Paul Outlaw, who was raised in the housing projects at the Eastern end of the street and whose queer life took shape at its Western end.
