Center Closures for Thursday, Jan 9
As Los Angeles County grapples with three major wildfires, multiple Center locations will remain temporarily closed out of an abundance of caution. No Center location has sustained damage and currently not within any active red zones as determined by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The following Center locations will be closed today, Thursday, Jan. 9:
- McDonald/Wright Building, 1625 N Schrader Blvd.
- The Village at Ed Gould Plaza, 1125 N. McCadden Pl.
- Trans Wellness Center, 3055 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 360
- Mi Centro, 553 S. Clarence St.
- Center WeHo, 8745 Santa Monica Blvd., 2nd Floor
- Center South, 2313 W. MLK Jr. Blvd.
- Liberation Coffee House, 6725 Santa Monica Blvd.

Emergency Resources
As of Thursday, officials are continuing to respond to multiple fires that have broken out across the county, fueled by dry conditions and a windstorm with gusts reaching up to 100 mph in some areas.
In Pacific Palisades, the Palisades fire has burned more than 17,000 acres, stretching westward along Pacific Coast Highway toward Malibu. The Eaton fire, near Altadena and Pasadena, has burned more than 10,000 acres and resulted in at least five deaths and several serious injuries. The Hurst fire in Sylmar, fueled by strong wind gusts in the area, has burned 800 acres.
On Wednesday, a fourth fire—the Sunset fire—broke out in the Hollywood hills. Firefighters have since been able to stop forward progress on the blaze, and most evacuation orders in the area have been lifted.
Evacuations are currently remain in effect in Pacific Palisades, parts of Malibu and Santa Monica, as well as Altadena, Pasadena, Arcadia, and Sierra Madre. For the most up-to-date evacuation zones and information about ongoing fires, please consult LAFD and CAL FIRE.

- Pierce College Equestrian Center (7100 El Rancho Drive, Woodland Hills): Open for evacuation of large animals.

- Pasadena Humane Society (361 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105): Small animals only.
