LOS ANGELES, September 21—Singer-actress and LGBTQ+ activist Hayley Kiyoko has joined this year’s Models of Pride as a double headliner and honoree at the youth summit hosted by the Los Angeles LGBT Center. She joins previously announced honoree and speaker Dylan Mulvaney, and social media star Ruba Wilson (aka RubasWorld) who will serve as the event’s host on Saturday, October 14.

“A festival of love, acceptance, and queer joy, Models of Pride celebrates three decades of success lifting our city’s LGBTQ+ youth, families and educational leaders,” said Los Angeles LGBT Center CEO Joe Hollendoner. “When our school boards and LGBTQ+ education are under attack, Models of Pride serves as a beacon of hope and a gathering place for the queer and trans students and educators of Los Angeles.”

Kiyoko will receive the Artist of Pride Award, presented to her by one of the Center’s outstanding youth activists. She will then perform a set for the audience, which will be followed by additional dancing, festivities, and giveaways for youth attendees.

LGBTQ+ activist and entertainer Dylan Mulvaney will be on hand to deliver the event’s keynote address and accept the Model of Pride Award—an honor given each year to a positive role model for LGBTQ+ youth.

Models of Pride is a unique intergenerational experience curated specifically for LA’s students, parents, and education professionals offering nearly 100 activations.
