What is embedded in you from your ancestors? What wounds have made you the luminous thing you are? Can you feel your joy as thrumming evidence of your survival? Utilizing audio recordings of oral family history & the wilderness of Tan’s homeland, the artist invites you on a tactile exploration of personhood across countries, timelines, and generations, landing in a story of survival through reverent joy. Initiated as an attempt to document oral history, living theatre becomes an excavation of inheritance & the pathways that bring us to the present.
