Highly Loved: A Day of Care for Black Queer Folx

The Los Angeles LGBT Center invites you to join us at Highly Loved, a special evolution of Highly Favored, our annual Black History Month celebration. Designed as a day of care for and by Black Queer Folx, this gathering is a deeply intentional space to center healing, restoration, and collective care—especially in wake of the recent wildfire devastation. Free RSVP to attend.

Highly Loved is more than an event; it is a love letter to LA’s Black Queer Community centered on healing, restoration, and collective care for our community in the wake of the devastating LA wildfires. We will be holding space for love, generosity, and togetherness, where the community can come together to uplift one another. Come as you are, and come and go as you please.

We are creating a sanctuary of joy and connection by hosting an array of activities, curated for and by Queer Black Folx, including:

  • Sonic and meditative sounds by Terrell Brooke
  • Curated library by Reparations Club
  • Caribbean food by Bridgetown Roti
  • Community meditation and soundbath by Black Being
  • Acupuncture by Portia
  • Massages by Erikka Valdez of Touched by Design Massage Therapy
