The Center to Honor KATSEYE Star Lara Raj at 2nd Annual ‘Golden Hour’ Night Market Celebration on May 17

Hosted by the Center in partnership with Mayumi Market

Presented by Gilead Sciences

LOS ANGELES, April 30, 2025 — The Los Angeles LGBT Center proudly announces the return of Golden Hour: A Queer AANHPI Night Market on Saturday, May 17, 6PM-10PM. Now in its second year, Golden Hour honors Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month with a dynamic celebration of identity, artistry, and community—spotlighting the rich, intersectional identities of queer AANHPI artists, performers, and local businesses.

This year’s event proudly honors Lara Raj—trailblazing member of global girl group KATSEYE and a rising queer icon. With her bold artistry and unapologetic authenticity, Raj is inspiring a new generation of queer youth around the world and redefining what representation looks like on a worldwide stage.

Named an artist to watch for 2025 by VEVO DSCVR and TIDAL, KATSEYE don’t just break the mold — they’re making their own. The global girl group, whose new single, “Gnarly” was  released today. Forged within the high standards of the K-pop system, but armed with the explicit goal of smashing through boundaries both cultural and creative. Ranging in age from 17 to 22 and coming from immensely different cultures, the six members of KATSEYE are: Daniela (Cuban/Venezuelan-American, from Atlanta, GA), Lara (Indian, from New York, NY), Manon (Ghanaian-Italian, from Zurich, Switzerland), Megan (Chinese-American, from Honolulu, HI), Sophia (Manila, Philippines), and Yoonchae (Seoul, South Korea).
