LOS ANGELES, June 1, 2026—Los Angeles LGBT Center today announced its 2026 Pride theme, “Love Lives Here,” alongside a season of Pride activations, community partnerships, and fundraising opportunities across Los Angeles.
The Center’s 2026 Pride theme builds on the foundation of this year’s Gala theme, “The Place We Call Home.” Together, they reflect the Center’s nearly 60-year commitment to ensuring LGBTQ+ people always have a place to turn for care, community, and belonging.
Founded in 1969, the Los Angeles LGBT Center grew from Liberation House, a small shelter established by queer activists who believed LGBTQ+ people deserved safety, dignity, and support. What began as a single refuge for the community has evolved into the world’s largest direct-service LGBTQ+ organization, serving hundreds of thousands of people each year through healthcare, housing, advocacy, cultural programs, and more.
“The Place We Call Home” explored the Center’s role as a place where community gathers, heals, and grows. Now, “Love Lives Here” turns our attention to the people, relationships, and chosen families that make a place feel like home.
“‘Love Lives Here’ isn’t just a celebration (theme), it’s a statement of who we are. At a time when so many LGBTQ+ people continue to face uncertainty, hostility, and attempts to make them feel unwelcome, we want our community to know there is a place where they belong,” said Joe Hollendoner, CEO of the Los Angeles LGBT Center. “This Pride season, we’re celebrating the love and chosen family that sustain us, while reaffirming our commitment to being a place where L.A.’s queer and trans community can always call home.”
