GAYTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL is a community-building performance led by local drag performer and organizer Provvidenza that invites participants to engage in fantasy civics and group play as a means to develop the social relations and imagination needed to develop, organize, and sustain a care-forward Los Angeles queer community.
With every council meeting members embrace prompts and creative challenges that contribute to an active and growing archive of art, ideas and actions that answer the question, “if we got to build our own gay town, who would you and I be and how would we do it?”
