The story of transgender AIDS activist Connie Norman is intertwined with story of West Hollywood in the late '80s and early '90s, with the city offering a stage for the LGBTQ+ community to express itself in the public realm, in both angry protest and joyous celebration.
A special Q&A following the screening will include Connie Norman’s activist colleagues gathered together live on stage for the first time since the film’s premiere in 2021. The panel will include Torie Osborn, Robin Podolsky, Peter Cashman, and more, joined by director Dante Alencastre and moderator Jazzmun Nichcala Crayton.
This program is supported in part by an arts grant from the City of West Hollywood and hosted by the LGBT Center’s Senior Services program.
