How to support the Trans Cosmetic Donation Drive in four easy steps!

Transgender people—particularly trans women of color—experience higher rates of poverty and unemployment, impeding their ability to purchase personal hygiene and cosmetic products.

Because of this need, the Los Angeles LGBT Center distributes new personal hygiene and cosmetic products, donated by businesses and individuals in the beauty industry, to low-income transgender and gender non-conforming people

This initiative was created by internationally renowned hair stylist Andrew Fitzsimons, who has designated the Center to receive these products and to manage their distribution to clients of the Center’s Transgender Economic Empowerment Project (TEEP) and to the clients of various local organizations that serve the trans community.

Want to donate new cosmetics and personal hygiene products? Here are 3 simple steps to follow:

  1. Collect the cosmetics and personal hygiene products you’d like to donate. It can be anything that will make someone feel like their authentic selves.
  2. Send an email to [email protected] or [email protected] to schedule a drop-off.
  3. Bring your donations at the scheduled time to the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Highland Annex located at 1220 N. Highland Ave. in Hollywood or to the Trans Wellness Center located at 3055 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 360 in Koreatown.
