Meet Russ

Just someone shaking your hand or giving you a hug is priceless to seniors like me.

As the largest LGBT organization in the world, we have lots of opportunities for you to volunteer.

The Center has registered more than 14,000 volunteers since implementing our volunteer program. As an organization founded and sustained by volunteers, we are grateful to the innumerable individuals who donated their time and services before volunteer tracking began and are proud to work with an exponentially growing community of volunteers.

The Los Angeles LGBT Center has more than 900 active monthly volunteers to help support organizational activities, programs and services.

The Los Angeles LGBT Center categorizes volunteer opportunities into three activities:

1. General Assistance
Opportunities such as data entry, monthly newsletter mailings and safe sex kits.

2. Program Support
Opportunities that require specialized skills and/or experience to support specific programs such as Education Volunteer.

3. Special Events
Opportunities that support our annual events that highlight programs and services. Tasks include, but are not limited to: event set-up, general event support, guest registration and breakdown.

To learn more about the Los Angeles LGBT Center and volunteer opportunities please attend our next Volunteer Information Session.

Our next information session will be on Wednesday, April 19,  at the Renberg Theatre at the Village at Ed Gould Plaza from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
