ken schwartzKenneth Schwartz, age 67, passed away on December 26, 2016 in Los Angeles.

Born in 1949 to Paul and Claire Schwartz, he was raised in Springfield Township Montgomery County Pennsylvania and worked, in his youth, alongside his father at Wyndmoor Supply Company. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971 and moved to Boston where he pursued a career in the travel industry. Ken was a respected travel professional for over 40 years who was well known nationally in the travel industry. His most recent position, of 16 years, was with Meeting Point North America. He retired in June of 2016.

He was an enthusiastic traveler, visiting over 50 countries in Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, Central America, the Caribbean and the Middle East. He was passionate about history and politics; read widely, and was an exceptionally gifted conversationalist. Known for his open heart, generosity and warmth, he will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his husband of 39 years, Thomas Camacho; his dog, Scout; mother, Claire Schwartz; brother Phillip Schwartz and sisters Robin Friedman and Betsy Silverman.
