insurance plans - Los Angeles LGBT Center

The Los Angeles LGBT Center is one of the few Federally Qualified Health Centers with providers who specialize in primary care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and people living with HIV.

You can always talk candidly and comfortably with your doctor and other providers, knowing that you’re receiving leading-edge care, regardless of your ability to pay.

Insured clients who receive their care at the Center help support our health services for those who are uninsured.

Everyone is welcome at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, regardless of their ability to pay. We accept most marketplace PPO products and we are “in-network” with the following commercial plans: Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Anthem Blue Cross.

We accept the following Medi-Cal HMO products: LA Care, Care1st, Anthem, Health Net and Molina. The Los Angeles LGBT Center must be listed as your medical home with one of these insurance carriers on the day of your appointment.

We have also contracted with the following commercial health plans through Covered California: LA Care HMO, Health Net HMO, Anthem EPO, BlueShield PPO, Oscar EPO and Molina HMO.

We accept Medicare and are also a Family Pact provider.

For those who are uninsured, we can help you determine whether you qualify for financial assistance and help you enroll for coverage through Covered California. Otherwise, the Center’s fees are on a sliding scale basis, based on ability to pay.

If you think you or your family member has a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. Do not attempt to access emergency medical care through this contact email.

If you are an established client of the Center with a non-emergency medical question, please call 323-993-7500.

Examples of the kinds of questions that you can send to this email are:

  • What are your hours?
  • Do I have to have insurance to come there?
  • Can I get my name changed there?

By clicking continue I understand that I should use this mail box only for a non-emergency, non-urgent question.
