More than 2,900 AIDS/LifeCycle Participants from Across U.S. and the World Traverse West Hollywood During L.A. Pride, June 10

Representing nearly every state and 18 countries, 2,226 AIDS/LifeCycle riders will pedal through West Hollywood to celebrate the completion of their 545-mile journey at Fairfax High School on Saturday, June 10, during L.A. Pride weekend. The cyclists, supported by 683 volunteer “roadies,” began their seven-day journey from San Francisco on June 4.

For the second consecutive year, the world’s largest annual AIDS fundraiser will traverse West Hollywood, a city disproportionately impacted by the epidemic. This year’s participants raised an astonishing $15.1 million for San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the HIV/AIDS-related services of the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

The Finish Line Festival at Fairfax High School will include live music, food trucks, a cheering section for friends and family to welcome the cyclists, and an emotional closing ceremony.

Volunteers are needed to assist with breakdown after the festival. Beverages and snacks will be provided. Volunteers can register online at aidslifecycle.org/volunteer.

AIDS/LifeCycle’s sponsors include Gilead Sciences, FedEx, Chevron, and Wells Fargo. The official bike sponsor is Cannondale.
