On the heels of California’s plan to fully reopen the state in mid-June, the Los Angeles LGBT Center will host its social-distanced inaugural Pride Picnic on Sunday, June 27, from 6–9 p.m. at Hollywood Forever. Guests can enjoy the great outdoors in specially-marked picnic spaces—for a maximum of six people—sprawled across the famed cemetery’s Fairbanks Lawn, featuring live music from DJ Asha, drag performances from Amber Crane, Greasy Bouffanti, and Lauren Banall, and some of Los Angeles’ most popular food vendors. Guests will be required to adhere strictly to COVID-19 safety protocols, as detailed on the event website lalgbtcenter.org/picnic.

“After more than a year of staying apart from our loved ones and practicing the healthy guidelines of mask-wearing and hand-sanitizing, it will be a wonderful change of scenery to get together outdoors again in person,” said the Center’s Director of Special Events Tui Lyon. “Pack your picnic basket, blankets, and lawn chairs, and let’s celebrate Pride month—and the beginning of a reopened California—as a strong and resilient queer community!”

For a prime spot at the picnic, guests can purchase a $450 VIP Pride Picnic Spot for Six. The VIP admission includes reserved seating in the best location on the lawn (for up to six people), a full picnic setup with blanket and umbrella, Tito’s Handmade Vodka bottle service, non-alcoholic Perrier mixers, and two complimentary onsite parking passes (valued at $20 per pass).

A Pride Picnic Spot for Six general admission ticket is $150. A limited quantity of onsite parking passes is available for $20 apiece. NOTE: Children under 5 years of age are free and do not count toward your party’s total number of guests.

Tickets may be purchased online at lalgbtcenter.org/picnic. All proceeds benefit the Center’s vital programs and services.

Presenting Sponsor of Pride Picnic is Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
